Here we are, our first blog, where I will expose my life and adventure to the world (it almost feels like you have a free entry to my journal). I thought it would be best to describe myself as it is our first interaction together and it is only fair that you get to know who is behind this computer writing about her life.
My name is Laurie, up from my 25 years of life, I am a Canadian woman who initially grew up in the countryside of the French province (Québec).
Moving forward, I always knew that fashion was something I wanted to pursue. This is why at the age of 18 years old, I started to explore that side with some modelling gigs I was getting here and there when I was lucky (this is a tough world out there, my friend).
Soon after COVID hit the world, I packed my bags and moved to the west of the country by myself at 20 years old, not a clue of what English really sounded like until I got there. I had to figure everything out, but that's ok, I got this (kinda). I worked as a fashion retailer, where I once again didn't feel like my life was fulfilling.
At the age of 22, I once more packed my bags and got into a fashion school in Paris, where I lived for 2 months, I didn't actually attend school (how ironic is that), my student visa failed to be accepted, and reality ended up hitting me in the face, I had to come back to Canada.
Then I got a brighter moment as I got hired as a flight attendant, with all the ups and downs of that job, I ended up quitting a year later, so you know the drill, I packed my bags and left (I am starting to be good in that field).
It all led up to my 24-year-old self moving to the south of France to live a crazy and fun adventure for a little bit longer than the summer to work as a stewardess on a yacht.
Here we are today, 25-year-old Laurie who is back in Canada, looking forward to the next adventure, travelling the world, finding new gigs in fashion, having lots of fun and exploring new opportunities.
Wanna join? Feel free to meet me here for all the updates, where I will tell you about my journey, things that I have learned in all this chaos, and of course share some laughs while you enjoy your morning coffee. Team hot coffee or iced coffee? Iced coffee for me.
Cheers to the next adventures to come and for tagging along!
